Lost Light
The lighthouse at Manteo, North Carolina, once guided ships through the Roanoke Marshes. Now it sits at the end of a pier very close to the site of the "Lost Colony" - one of the first English colonies in north America whose inhabitants "disappeared" sometime in the sixteenth century.
