Lori of the Blue Mountains
his photograph was taken in a famous Dutch bird Zoo called "Avifauna" in Alphen aan de Rijn.
In this park there is a place called " Lori landing". And that is exactly what this flying jewels do. You can buy little cups filled with nectar and as soon as you get in to the large hall where they live they land on your arm and start eating. There is a complete colony of adults and chicks.
It is ideal for taking pictures of these beautiful birds.
