The Roman Catholic parish church of Dienten near Hochkönig is located in the parish of Dienten near Hochkönig in the district of Zell am See in the province of Salzburg. The parish church of St. Nicholas belongs to the deanery of Taxenbach in the archdiocese of Salzburg. The church and the cemetery are listed buildings. The church in the south of the village stands on a steep hill at the foot of the Hochkönig. From the Middle Ages until 1864, Dienten was an important mining area for iron. The two-nave Gothic miners'; church with a baroque tower is surrounded by a cemetery. The church was mentioned in a document in 1410, consecrated in 1506, raised to parish status in 1891 and restored in 1971/1972.
