King of the Forest Soil
Abgebildet ist ein Feuersalamander (Salamandra salamandra ssp.) aus dem Großraum Nürnberg. Obwohl eigentlich Terra Typica liegt Nürnberg im Überschneidungsgebiet der Unterarten salamandra und terrestris, so dass sich meist sowohl gefleckte, wie auch gestreifte Tiere in den Habitaten finden lassen.
