    heu Pat
Yes the porter can climb faster than 1000ft/min. empty, but still ,on yves´ flight with the 4 engines the plane was struggling not with the climb rate but with the combination of climb rate and speed.I wish it wouldn´t have been the case.( i would have had better pictures of the 4 engine flight....).
I think for the registration Yves has a special clearance.

Ah, thanks for the info. (Although the empty Porter climbs better than 1000ft/min.) I saw the video and it seems that with the high wingloading there is quite some drag around. The wing must have about 64kg of thrust by the look of the engines which is plenty in normal circumstances. But, it's great to see the thing fly. I wonder how it could be legally registered, though. Possibly it's not?

    Have fun. Regards, Pat

Took the pitures from a pilatus porter with the door open.On this flight Yves has 2 engines and was flying level with the porter at about 80knts, later he added 2 more engines and the porter was struggling to keep up with him (climbing 1000ft/min...)
