Jenna, our backcountry emcee
Being part of a trail crew in Yosemite means living near the job site, and our job site is deep in the wilderness. It affords us the coveted opportunity to enjoy isolation from the chaos of civilization, and it also requires us to be more creative in our entertainment. We organized a talent show in which each crewmate participated, and charismatic Jenna acted as the master of ceremonies. Through campfire smoke, the setting sun cast a light on her face, and I felt lucky to catch it because the halo it created describes her vibrant personality far better than my words ever could.
