Our home in Jeddah Street was in the Arab quarter of old Singapore where a lot of shops selling Indonesian and Malay goods were situated.
Especially along North Bridge Road till to the former seedy Bugis Street, famous for its night market, pick pockets and many transvestites roaming around there.
Unfortunately the good old days are gone ;-(((.
