Als ich 1959 auf den Farnes an der englichen Nordseeküste zum ersten Mal einen Papageientaucher mit vielen Sandaalen im Schnabel sah, war es mir ein Rätsel, wie er immer neue Fische fangen konnte konnte ohne die Früheren beim Öffnen des Schnabels zu verlieren.Die Lösung: Er hält die vorher gefangenen Fische mit der Zunge fest.VG Andreas
