Höfn

Höfn is the second largest town in east corner of Iceland, however people have been moving away from Höfn during the last years.
Höfn means ‘harbour,’ as the town is located in one of the few natural harbours of Iceland’s South Coast; unlike the rest of the country, this stretch is beachy and flat, and thus there are hardly any small coastal villages when compared to places such as the Snæfellsnes Peninsula.

  Hallo, lieber Jürgen, ich danke für Deinen konstruktiven Einwand - und Du hast recht, das Gebirge im Hintergrund erscheint zu sehr lila. Ich selbst habe wegen einer angeborenen leichten Farbenblindheit immer wieder Schwierigkeiten mit einer korrekten Farbbestimmung, darum half mir meine Frau, das Bild neu zu bearbeiten. Ich stelle es erneut in meine Serie ein. Liebe Grüße Wolfgang
