Hey!!! Can I get more to eat??

This hawfinch is an everyday guest on my balcony. He is a little egoist because once there are any other birds coming, he starts fighting with them and does not allow them to approach the grains.

love it!!! great shot, viera! and really great eye-contact: like the rosy, half-open beak a lot, and the "soulful" look he's giving you! and i know what you mean: we have a greedy hawfinch in our yard, too. whenever he shows up at the birdfeeder everybody smaller than him – which is about everyone except for the blackbirds and some stray doves ; )) – takes off and waits in the bushes close by until he's gone again! quite a bossy fellow, but so very pretty! greetings, sabine.
