Grand Teton N. P., Wyoming

From the left: Mt. Owen (12.928 feet), Grand Teton (13.770 feet), Middle Teton (12.804 feet)

"Standing on top of ancient sea beds nearly 2 miles above sea level, we gaze in awe at the Tetons, the youngest of the Rocky Mountain uplifts. About 9 million years ago, two rectangular blocks of the Earth's crust moved like giant trap doors, one swinging upward to form the Tetons and the Teton Valley, the other hinging downward to create the valley we call Jackson Hole. The sculpturing influence of glacial ice and water over the last 200,000 years provided a spectacular final touch in creating the Tetons we see today."

Breath taking. Well done Josip. as a thunmbnail I thought it was an average mountain scene but when I opened it I was blown away by the detail and especially the sky. A really great shot and very well taken.
