"gone with the wind" – is the worst, for it's not gone at all but spreading… i've just read the article by jes alexander, so now, of course, i'm associating this work with the horrors of the oil-rig spill (spill sounds so much like a euphemism, if one considers the immensity of the disaster, the damage it will do, and is doing as i write this…). so your "bloody- greasy-dandelion gone-with-the-wind-screaming-stars-and-stripes reproach" here makes perfect sense! outrage and sadness, empathy with both flaura, fauna and fishermen is what remains… greetings, sabine.
