Gaustatoppen 1 | Norway
Gaustatoppen is the highest mountain in the norwegian county of Telemark.
On it’s 1883m elevation are multiple possibilities for the tourists and extreme athletes, like hiking to the top (in summer!) or skiing on one of the different slopes.
There is an elevator system in the mountain which was built by the norwegian military. Today it is just a tourist attraction. From the summit of the Gaustatoppen (Gausta=Name of a farm in the mountain, Toppen=summit) you have a stunning view to almost 1/6th of the norwegian mainland.
