Franz Josefs Land
Diese Inselgruppe weit in der Arktis wurde ursprünglich von einer Österreichisch / Ungarischen Expedition entdeckt. (Daher auch der Name)
1873 triftete Carl Weyprecht und Julius Payer mit dem Schiff Tegethof im Eis eingeschlossen durch die Arktis. Dabei tauchte plötzlich Land auf:
