Island - Austurland - Wasserfall
In der nordischen Mythologie befindet sich die Quelle der Weisheit unter dem Weltenbaum Yggdrasil, welche ein reißender Wasserfall ist und derjenige der davon trank, der erlangte ein ganz besonderes Wissen. Behütet wurde die Quelle von Mimir.
Wie diese bizarre vulkanische Landschaft wohl auch die Fantasie der Menschen in früheren Zeiten anregte kann man sich auf den Wanderungen durch die Naturlandschaften von Island, dem Land der Wasserfälle, sehr gut vorstellen.
