  The huts have changed, and aged a lot , over the past 40 years.

  Yes, you are right.
  Over the past 50 or so years - it has been an extremely popular subject for photographers - the castle - with the upturned boats in the foreground. They became iconic.

  40 years ago - the boats were black and tidy.
  Since then - the area around the various boats has become more ragged , and untidy.
