Farbenpracht des Peyto Lake in Kanada
Der Peyto Lake liegt in Alberta, Kanada unweit des Icefields Parkway in den Rocky Mountains.
Die auffällige türkise Wasserfärbung wird durch sehr feine Gesteinspartikel (Gesteinsmehl) verursacht. Sie gelangen mit dem Schmelzwasser von Gletschern in den See. Dies ist bei vielen Gebirgsseen in Kanada zu beobachten und absolut überwältigend.
