Thanks a lot for the background information, Ruben. Most interesting. Unfortunateley, especially washeries seem to be most endangered and not considered worth to be preserved. Again: I wish, Spain would be closer to where I live!
    Greetings Harald

    Harald,

The headframe was painted 1 year ago and it has the lights on at the night always. It is in the middle of the town and its preserved as a monument. From last month all the remaining headframes, winding engines and singular buildings at the collieries in Asturias are protected by the law, theoretically they cannot be scrapped. Unfortunatelly some of them are abandoned.
There are another 4 frames as well at this town and the mining museum also has a massive headframe, (follow this link www.mumi.es).
This pit was almost 400 m deep and 300 people worked at this facility, in was in service more than 70 years. The headframe is the only remaining thing. The washery was demolished and the winding engine and compressors scrapped.

    Regards,
    Ruben

Really strange and strong at the same time. The headframe looks like copy-pasted into the image.
Considering the rather good state, I assume, it is preserved as a monument?
    Greetings Harald
