when i was a child, i always like how some people paraphrased japan as "the land of the rising sun" – sounded so wistfully and blissfully foreign and poetic to me, that it always made me want to board a schooner and travel there ; ))). this beautiful shot of yours, its serene, "glowingly peaceful" oriental (beach-) atmosphere makes me experience the magic of "the land of the rising sun" all over again! the pine tree crossing through the shot, the lovely patterns created by the gentle light, the red sculpture and its reflections in the puddles, the tiny outlines of the flaneurs – poetic, like a japanese garden, and so different from our european and american beach-life sceneries! greetings, sabine.
