Dune2

Desertification of the Gobi; from the desert to the grassland on the AlxaPlateau Inner Mongolia. It no longer rains here!! Beneath the green is an underground "river" that provides some water to the wells of subsistence herders. Based on isotope tests, the water has been under for 200 to 2000 years. It comes from the blue hills/mountains far away on the horizon. jh

    Excellent perspective.

Bigger please! That is a stunning view, the contrast between the dune and the green/blue background, the ripples in the sand and the shadows caused by them (did you make a shot concentrating on that?), the harsh cut at the crest, it's all great. I hope the series doesn't end here...
    All the best,
    Ralf

Nice shot. The green meadow(?) in the background seems as if someone had inserted it after the photo was taken. Is that blue fringe at the horizon the sea?
    Best regards,
    Dennis
