Die Langährige Segge (Carex elongata)
ist floristisch eine gefährdete Art in der Westfälischen Bucht und des Weiteren die Kennart des Walzenseggen Erlenbruchwaldes ( (Carici elongatae-Alnetum glutinosae), einer in NRW stark gefährdeten Pflanzengesellschaft.
