Denkmalgeschützt*

Vor etlichen Jahren abgebrannt (Brandstiftung?). Genaueres weiss man angeblich nicht. Soll nicht weg - kommt aber früher oder später sicherlich weg.

auf alle Fälle ist es gestützt....das ist doch auch schon viel wert bei diesem "Rest"...Sanne

Ach so, ich dachte, so wie es da steht, mit dem Gerüst davor, ist es denkmalgeschützt. :)

  Ja, ist vorerst geschützt. Man wartet jetzt noch ein paar Jahre und entzieht dem Gebäude dann mit scheinheiligen Begründungen den Status als schützenswertes Objekt. Eine Garantie auf den Erhalt eines Bauwerks - so die Erfahrung - bietet der Denkmalschutz nicht (jedenfalls nicht in HH).

  This nice historical building was destroyed by arson - years ago. The authorities will wait a while and then probably tear it down in future, arguing that the restoration would cost too much. It's the usual tactic. These people are terrible.

  You are right. A lot of heritage is lost due to the greed of those who should protect and preserve it for generations to come.
