Dead valley

I made the picture with my old D1 and 80 - 200 AF ED lenses. The picture was taken in a valley called "Dead valley" by local people. It was ecologicaly very much destroyed due to lead mine and production of different kinds of metal. It is getting better and better since the production stopped 10 years ago.

Hi Tomo, welcome in the fotocommunity.
I have seen similar things, while I was in alaska. It´s fascinating to see, how nature takes back the land, and what beauty grows shortly after man left.
I like your picture because of its colors and contrasts: the dark soil where man was mining and the lightning of the wheat, where nature takes back the land.
    Heike.
