      Well -it has nice sedimentary rocks.
      20 miles north of this place - near St Abbs - is where James Hutton discovered and reported on "unconformities" in layers of sedimentary rocks - (around 1800) - which led him to conclude that the earth must be millions of years old, (and not 5,000 years - according to a popular analysis of the Book Of Genesis at the time). 
      James Hutton is regarded as the father of the science of geology.
