Bytom - a view from the other side (mal gesehen von der anderen Seite) Aug. 2005

This is the ulica Kwietniewskiego (ulica=street) in Bytom. It is a street with old buildings, most of them are beautiful. But you can see on these pictures that they're black coloured and not restored. On the left side you can see a house which is still not complete. The region "SILESIA" has no money therefore they don't complete and don't restore the buildings and leave them in these bad conditions.

Dies ist die ulica Kwietniewskiego (ulica=Straße) in Bytom (Beuthen). Es ist eine Straße mit alten Gebäuden, die eigentlich schön von ihrer Bauweise sind. Leider sind sie in einem maroden Zustand und ziemlich schwarz von der Industrie, da Oberschlesien kaum Geld hat, diese Häsuer zu renovieren. Auf der linken Seite zu erkenn, stehen meist unfertige Häuser leer, da das Geld für die Bauprojekte ausging. Und so stehen viele Häuser leer, werden nicht renoviert und neue Häuser nicht fertig.
