Fascinating image. They resemble some sort of strange, aquatic fruit...Composition is interesting, however I feel that the image lacks good shadow or contrast ranges in the orbs of fish. That lack of contrast makes them look flat rather than more dimensional in volume. Got my interest which is a good virtue for any image.
