Eindrucksvolles Exemplar (weiblich), schön abgebildet.Es ist eine andere Schlangenart als die Ringelnatter, seit 2017, denn ab dann wurde die Barrenringelnatter als eigenständige Art ausgemacht.
Vorher war sie eine Unterart der Ringelnatter.
