Aurea Moguntia
Mainz wurde in seiner mittelalterlichen Glanzzeit als „Aurea Moguntia“, das „Goldene Mainz“ bezeichnet - dieses Bild meiner Heimatstadt verdeutlicht ganz gut was einer der Gründe dafür sein könnte. Es is halt e 'goldisch Städtsche'! ;-)

(schon klar daß da im Bild die protestantische Christuskirche dem "goldenen Licht" im Wege steht)
