Great view !!! This place I visited in summer time and after wished to introduce this main observatory building in autumn. But did not have enough time for good developing on pic. So now you are the first !:) Thanks, great winter picture. I have picture which been made frome more less same point. But now seems to me this big round cap with huge Carl Zeiss lens is moving. And in winter it is changing observation position. Proubably it is rare ocassion to be there near this big unit during snow time..
Can` not add anything except i dont like red 2006 trace on picture. Think it is no need element there..

Ein Observatorium im Schnee! Das wird das " Sternegucken" unter Umständen schwierig, weil man nicht weiß: Sieht man nun unbekannte Objekte in der Milchstraße oder nur Schneeflokken:-))).

Ich glaube, das war seinerzeit einer der größten Spiegel der Welt. Ich hatte vor 30 Jahren schon davon gelesen. Schönes Bild.
