    Gernot Krautberger: Well, it's easy to explain - the branches are still covered with bark while the stump is barkless and you see the white wood of a dry lime-tree. :-) Thanx!!!

    Impressive Pic.
    I like the lights and shadows.

    The white stump with dark branches seems
    a little un-realistic to me.
    However - great Pic.
