Giudicando l'uomo, la gloria certamente ci fu, senza dimenticare le moltissime ombre e contraddizioni della sua azione. Da ricordare il genio militare (in campo terrestre...), la riforma della macchina amministrativa francese e il rinnovamento della legislazione non solo in Francia. Da dimenticare le nefandezza nei confronti delle terre di conquista (V. Goya, "Fucilazione del 3 maggio 1808", ecc.), la spoliazione dei beni artistici, la cattiva amministrazione dei suoi famigliari posti a capi di stato senza averne le competenze, ecc. ecc.Questo busto marmoreo, decisamente brutto, accademico e ridicolmente elegiaco, non gli rende comunque giustizia. La foto però è bella... e questo è quello che più conta per un fotografo.

...late classizism, not far away from the art of propaganda in the Third Reich or the Soviet Union...a fine work of idolizing Napoleon, no portrait but an image of Napoleon's idea from himself....his glory and his failures are gone, long time ago...Today he's nothing more than an object in the museum or in the books...Nevertheless, I have to say that not all of his ideas were wrong...his armies conquered a great area of Germany..and not his troops destroyed the cities, but the ones that conquered them back....Ciao, mia cara Cris, buona serata! Bella, mi piace il giovane uomo che si proietta nel passato, 200 anni separano il marmo che ha tutta la sua forza dal contemporaneo che vive nell'epoca dell'incertezza.Brava ann mari.
