18 years after the wrapping of the Reichstag and 14 years after the completion of installation of "The Wall" for the International Building Exhibition Emscher Park Christo presented the Oberhausen Gasometer another extraordinary art project. The world-renowned artists showing in the 117 meter high monument industry to be "Big Air Package" - the largest ever created indoor sculpture in the world.
The sculpture inside the gasometer was made of 20 350 square meters, 500 meters and 4 translucent fabric rope. When inflated, they reached a weight of 5.3 tons a height of more than 90 meters, a diameter of 50 meters and a volume of 177 000 cubic meters.
