Excellent portrait, as taken out of Mark Twain's pages referring to Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn's "aunties"...Ah!, well,Rob, let's say that her glasses were from a very...progressive optic designer of her time!

great!! genteel and gentle looking at the same time, this lady! love, how her mild-mannered attitude and benevolent smile correspond with her delicate accessories, the lace of the fan and the parasol! and nice, how the corn crop in the back seems to repeat the canopying shape of the parasol… greetings, sabine.

A mode of dress that must have been cumbersome to wear...but what elegance with that lacey parasole and the lovely fan with which to help keep cool.
