In an Aegean island (for more details please refer to the previous photo in the gallery. Thank you very much)

Remnants of old and deserted quarrys are often found on the Aegean islands.This one composed a very interesting site for photography as, great part of it, ended in the sea and especially in windy days it is covered by the waves.

The photo was taken in a very windy day. I used a tripod to fix the bulky camera and a big slide film(Velvia 50 120 6x4,5).Then I scanned the positive.

The wild waves of the Aegean and the remains of this quarry they offer a beautiful picture just as you saw and very well photograph.

An interesting shot of the rough aegean sea where you can experience rapid weather changes with strong and gusty winds. No easy going area for the many yacht charterers there.
It's an interesting combination with the remains of the old quarry, and yes, the horizon drifts a bit to the right as Rob says, but for me it's alright, cause you would loose in the sharp details correcting it. Bright colours and fine detailing. A very complex picture I would say.

Wild & interresting about.
Imagine how difficult was the work in those quarries with primitive tools!
Worth to carry an heavy equipment and produce a beautiful document.
