the little woman and her umbrella – an all too ridiculous shield against the elements… they look so forlorn in this height, dwarfed by the sky and the vaguely reproachful old houses sternly peering down on her. she won't scare, though! instead, she's paying the camera an intent if a little sorrowful glance! a ghost from the past maybe, once at home in the village… ; ) the elevated position and that vista through the gap at the magnificent snow-capped mountains: a relief, a way out even, an escape from the mythical might of the elevated village and its intimidating walls!! greetings, sabine.Janos Gardonyi 28/03/2015 1:07

Perhaps streets such as this in remote place like this are haunted... filled with the spirits of the long departed who wish to stay where they once lived.........A superb sht that captures well such feelings of desolation, loneliness, hauntings.....
