At the picturesque side street to the Galleria Uffici, a street artist is trying a portrait under the..critical eye of the great Francesco Petrarcha. Petrarcha(1304-1374) was a great scholar and poet and was called the "Father of Humanism".He is also known to be the first to develop the concept of the "Dark Ages".

wait, being a painter, not a poet, this artist will be putting all his effort in his visual work rather than in verse! and isn't his fair model lady's hair as golden as the pillars in most of his aquarelles? so could this be kismet? between you and me and the wall,* alexander, you may have just captured a day of destiny here, alexander! and from his elevated spot on his pedestal prescient petrarca is scanning the heavens for signs of proof… ; ) – – the corresponding golds/yellows make this image for me! greetings, sabine.

*well, what can i say… i googled "petrarch", and in the wikipedia entry found sonnet 227 which, i think, perfectly matches this shot of yours – kismet! yep, definitely! ; )
