another old photo of Vancouver at the turn of the century - found in a window of the library .... I was intrigued with the crazy blend of old and modern showing in the reflection and appearing like a sandwiched image. No editing done !!!!

I am happy to see this image in the voting gallery - many thanks to kunterbuntschwarz !!!!!

It certainly is a very interesting blend of old and new. I would be very interested to see these old pictures in their original format. It would be fascinating.

yes, it is a crazy blend! i particularly like how the modern vancouver skyline effortlessly adapts to the ancient architecture: and architect – way ahead of his time – seems to have grafted them onto the historical buildings! ; ) with the little red pick-up it's so funny and strange: for some reason it doesn't seem so very anachronistic at all but rather fits in almost harmoniously – maybe it's because of its "classic design", which makes me associate it with a time only once or twice removed from carts and horses… ; )) hugs, sabine.
amazing that photo....
THANKS for sharing, dear Adele....
for the mom I'm not often at fc therefore sorry that I do not set many comments....
have a great:
A superb blend of old and modern blended together! It's a genius shot Adele! You've even got the transport near each other with the cars driving past the horse and carts!
Hugs
