On the same farm where I photographed the Brown Goat and the Toulouse Goose (see pictures below), I spotted this time ‘miss Piggy’ while taken a lazy afternoon siesta.
Not the most beautiful animal in the world, I know, but is each animal not worthwhile seeing ?
Dutch name : Tam Varken
German name : Hausschwein
Latin name : Sus scrofa domesticus
yes, definitely! and she deserves to be in your "gallery of intelligent animals": goat, goose, and pig – a very smart collection indeed ; ))! love the look of her hairy back and blissful "smile" on her oinky snout ; ))! and the two different greens in the meadow – dark and shady vs. sunlit and bright – are beautiful, too! farmyard leisure – a very charming shot! lg, sabine.
Sì, hai ragione ,non sarà il massimo della bellezza, però anche "miss Piggy" ,ha il suo benemerito posto tra i nostri animali domestici.
Ciao Mark, buona giornata.
A very photogenic oynker with his closed eye and little smile snoozing away. A very nice capture with all those little hairs glistening in the sun and the grass as his resting place.
greetings, Adele
Herrlich zufrieden, wirkt dieses SChwein - es ist auch ein ausgesprochen glückliches Schwein - mit Auslauf und viel Grün!!!! Das merkt man später auch am leckeren Braten, wenn die Aufzucht so natürlich ist...
I like pigs...they can look cute too with their muzzle and they are supposed to be intelligent animals.
When looking at your picture I regret all the "Schnitzel" and bacons I've eaten in my life...problem only is...it tastes so good...blame on me...
