Ghosts...Grand Canyon
Almost anywhere along the accessible portion of the south rim you'll see the skeletal remains of junipers and pines. Who knows how long they survive in such exposed conditions, or how long the trees had lived before becoming these silvery gray specters.
Location: Rim Trail between Hopi Point and Mohave Point (west of Grand Canyon Village). Grand Canyon NP, AZ

Nice shot showing how the plants are at the top of the cliff and it is a long ways down. This is not a shot for those who are afraid of heights. -archie
