Chinese people love red .... it must bring luck as do numbers like 7 and 8 .... (they try to get license plates with these numbers in them).

Today Canada celebrated 143 years of being a "country" ..... big celebrations everywhere, tens of thousands of people - and I was one of them. Sorry, but I did not manage at all to look at your images but will catch up tomorrow!!!!

good morning, adele ; )! love to let my eyes get lost in the striking "regularity" of the umbrella design: all those straight lines crossing each other and running parallel – a fascinating sight! and the luminous red looks very alluring! would be so nice to have a huge red umbrella to sit under and hide from the heat, and someone to sprinkle water on you all day ; )) – hamburg is a tropical island these days! for tomorrow they forecast 36 ℃! hugs, sabine. p.s. congratulations on canada's 143 rd birthday!

Das nenn´ ich mal Architektur :<) ein Künstlerehepaar hat ja in China auf einem Reisfeld viele davon aufgestellen lassen -Bauwerke also :+)

Interesting that they favour a particular colour and numbers, and what a good colour to choose. Marvellous perspective of this wonderfully structured umbrella/sunshade. I bet this one wouldn't blow inside out in a strong wind and rain like all our umbrellas do here!!
