The difference

This shot is to illustrate the difference in size between a European herring gull and a ruddy turnstone, which is quite significant as you can see.

German name : Silbermöwe & Steinwälzer
Latin name : Larus argentatus argenteus & Arenaria interpres

Die Größe der Silbermöwe kenne ich gut - wie klein und zierlich ist dagegen der andere Vorgel! Eine ganz feine Aufnahme! Das kräftige Blau gibt einen herrlichen HG!!!

This I can say is a very fine shot of these two very different coastal birds and illustrates perfectly the difference in size between the second year Herring Gull and the little turnstone which is one of my favourite wading birds.
