Not Sure What This is.......

......if was growing in a veggie garden near the Abbey on Isle of Iona Scotland, I think it is rhubarb, but bumblebee says it is not like what she has seen, and the red cone shaped thingy is really strange.....

This plant does have rhubarb like leaves but the flower is not one I have seen. A good mystery in this one Den.

I'm not sure that this is Rhubarb. I've seen this plant in our botanic garden and it was called elephant ear plant, but I'm not sure

I think you are correct in saying that this is a wild form of Rhubarb Den, and that is a great capture of the flower.
I do not think that this form is edible though.....

a fascinating plant, beautiful when it flowers, the
leaves gigantic ... and then all brown and having to
get cut off in the Fall - the Giant False Rhubarb as
we know it here ... your image is beautiful, Den,
so much light and and the flower nicely framed
by the leaves !!!
