Standing almost at attention and in silent respect, he stares at one of the best preserved ancient cities in the world and, launching his thought 3000 years back to another glorious era of emperors, samourais and epic wars, possibly tries to find relevant correlations with the contemporary reality he experiences now, a reality of People's republic, controlled economy and communist equality all of them serving, as he is assured by his political leaders, for his own benefit....
In all parts of the world and under any political system all governments assure their people that they do the best they can for their benefit!....

The distance traveled to leaving the comment reminds me of the vastness of the Great Wall of China, which I visited a few years ago.A beautiful photo and an interesting dissertation with which I concur.

Goodness me... that was a marathon of scrolling....... I hope that it is soon sorted.An excellent scene Alexnder...... and the accompanying notes are very interesting... and they make us think. Nothing much really changes we are still told ' fairy tales' by the powers that be.....
