Winter hike on the heathland (5)

On a cold frosty day with plenty of sunshine, it’s ideal to make a winter hike on the ‘Kalmthoutse Heide’, even without snow.

The ‘Kalmthoutse Heide’ is one of the greatest National Parks of Belgium with many fens, heathland, inland dunes and vast forests.

On special request of s. sabine krause , here’s a picture of an inland dune.
I admit, it’s only a small one, but in some parts of the reserve, those inland dunes reach a height up to 10 meters or more, but unfortunately I have not walked through these high dunes on this hike.
