The Fungi World (116) : Bleeding Conifer Crust
The Bleeding Conifer Crust is a fungus that is responsible for extensive rot in mature pine, spruce and fir.
When this fungus gets damaged, a blood-red spot appears on the bruised spot (hence its name).
Can be found in all seasons.
Dutch name : Dennenbloedzwam
German name : Blutender Nadelholz-Schichtpilz
Latin name : Stereum sanguinolentum
