Kastoria
Kastoria is another historic city in the north-west borders of Greece(West Macedonia) situated on a beautiful lake. The name of Kastoria first appears around 500 AD as a prominent border city of the Byzantine empire, and there are several theories about the origin of this name the most dominant being that it derives from the greek word "kastoras" meaning "beaver".Trading the animal's fur has traditionally been an important element of the city's economy from family to family till today.
