Island Zauberland [17] - Dyrhólaey

Die Südküste Islands ist unglaublich. Es gibt jede Menge Strände. Das Besondere: sie sind schwarz, pechschwarz. Man steht da und staunt. Auf Bildern hat man das schon gesehen, ja, aber wenn man das dann wirklich sieht, dann ist das schon beeindruckend. Die Landschaft ist karg, der Himmel weit und die Farben reduzieren sich auf wenige. Man könnte ewig da stehen und einfach nur schauen.

The southcoast of Iceland is unbelievable. There are lots of beaches. Special thing about them: they are black, deep black. You see it often in pictures, yes, but if you see it with your own eyes for the first time, it´s breathtaking. The landscape is meager, the sky is wide and there are few colours. You could stand there forever and wonder.
