Vancouver Living .... with your very Own Tree

Overlooking English Bay and close to Stanley Park this apartment building with its tree on top has been around for a number of years ..... now there are gardens on the top of many high buildings.

Thank you for your kind comments ... so busy today that I might not be able to look at all your latest images!

A tree on top of a tall building, how completely bizarre but wonderful at the same time!! I wonder where the roots go!

Must be a hardy specimen! I like the optical diagonal line of the buildings.

Oh my God.... I think in Germany some government agency would immediately order its taking down because of safety reasons....

Yes I know, it's getting more and more trendy nowadays to lay out gardens on top of buildings.
Maybe not a bad idea ?
Anyway, you spotted the tree very well Adele.

boy, if i were that tree, i'd feel weird! always singled-out, exposed to rain and storms, and depending on people to provide you with humus in case you suddenly grow a lot, no chance of ever touching the ground and feeling the "real earth" under your feet/roots ; ))… great interesting shot, adele! hugs, sabine.

Hoffentlich hat der Architekt diese Statik vorausgesehen :-) denn es sieht a bissl nach einem geplanten Hubschrauberlandeplatz aus :) aber bestimmt supischön so ein Hochgarten :
