Mary before the angel Gabriel
This clay sculpture of mine reminds of the moment in the Biblical account when Gabriel, God's messenger, announces to Mary that she will give birth to a son - who will be king in the lineage of David and be the Saviour.
Mary is full of awe, ready to become the instrument of God's history of salvation with mankind.
