congratulations, matthias, on your spot in the gallery! it's a beautiful shot, even though i secretely prefer "beach barrier" over "beach barrier 2" because of its outright "sunlit aggressiveness" ; )! but this one here is beautifully lit, too, and i particularly like that "rosy glow" of the beach and horizon! greetings, sabine.
Matthias:
I love how you captured the atmosphere of early morning or evening, the soft light, the wintry beach colours, the reflection ot the sunbeams on the surf, and the barriers standing in the water to hold back the strong breakers.
Sky and sea reinforce the amplitud of the horizon.

Liebe Grüsse,
Susana
We see a lot of beach scenes that just have the water and sky but by including a strong foreground it adds more interest and rounds out the image making for a more complete scene.
